Education Center Staff

Education Supervisor: Britni Wheaton 

Britini comes to OSUMC from Hillcrest Medical Center where she was a Clinical Nurse Educator for 4 years, and served as Interim Manager for a Medical Surgical Unit for almost a year.  She has worked as a staff nurse in MSICU and stepdown gaining valuable expertise in critical care.  She has also worked in pediatric home health, hospice, case management, and she works as an instructor at Miller Mott teaching future LPNs. She has been married for 7 years and loves reading, watching cooking shows, snuggling and playing with her pit lab mix Mako.

Education Specialist: Mary Armstrong MSN, RN 

She is a dedicated and passionate nurse with a Master's Degree in Nursing Education from Oral Roberts University, she is also an adjunct faculty for ORU. Mary has almost a decade of experience in nursing. She began her nursing career as a registered nurse working on a joint replacement unit and found her passion for Ortho. Mary's commitment to patient care, nursing education, and passion for staying active and engaged in her personal life make her a well-rounded and dedicated healthcare professional.

Mary is certified to teach BLS, ACLS

Education Specialist: Lori Eldridge BSN, RN 

She has been a nurse for 7 years, mostly in critical care areas such as ER, ICU, and Cath Lab. She has been with OSUMC 5 out of those 7 years of her Nursing career.   

Lori is certified to teach BLS

Instructor: Janey Wiley, BSN, RN

Janey has 21 years of medical experience beginning in the Emergency Room at Saint Francis Hospital. She was then the director of a tissue bank and an organ procurement coordinator prior to joining the OSUMC family. In her ten years at OSUMC she has worked in PACU, ER, GI, Interventional Radiology, VAD team, and Education. She first joined Education part time in 2011 to teach ENPC and TNCC. Shortly thereafter, she became an AHA instructor for BLS, ACLS, and PALS, all three of which she currently maintains. Janey teaches the majority of our physician/advanced practitioner courses. While teaching part time, she spent three years as the nursing supervisor for radiation, radiology, and interventional at a busy oncology institute. Since stepping down from that role she has been able to spend more time teaching and working with various groups that use sedation for procedures. 

Janey is certified to teach BLS, ACLS, and PALS
